Loco Pocos Island was not just the home of the Loco Pocos mainstore, it was also host to lots of secrets and a compelling island adventure based on a fantastic storyline following visitors to the island. This experience was offered for free to residents of Second Life, with lots of games and free items to win.
However, regrettably, the Island Adventure must come to a close. Loco Pocos Island will shut down on November 27th, 2010.
But don’t get too sad! This is not the end for Loco Pocos. I will be opening a store on the TenFifteen sim which will be the new location for Loco Pocos. Also, all of our products are available online at the SL Marketplace!
Many thanks to all the visitors and customers that made the island adventure available for over 2 years, now it’s time to move on…

Those of you who have been following Loco Pocos over the years have probably noticed that lately, I haven’t been around.
My career has taken a different direction as of 2010, each new job I take is moving me further and further away from Second Life, which means I have less and less time to devote to the products I love, like Loco Pocos.
Loco Pocos is a fantastic brand, very popular and appealing, it has a lot going for it – the only downside is my lack of involvement to keep things fresh. I don’t want to neglect it anymore, yet I don’t have the time to give it the care it truly deserves.
So, with several months of thinking this through, I have decided to do what is best and move on completely. Loco Pocos, as a business, is for sale.
Loco Pocos has a large existing consumer base in Second Life, all just waiting for the next accessory or avatar to hit the shelves, it also has a development kit available for budding creators to release their own line of Loco Pocos compatible accessories. In over 2 years of existence, Loco Pocos has sold over 10,000 avatars and over 50,000 accessories – and that doesn’t even include all the free stuff!

Luckily, I was able to salvage all our posts and comments, but I can no longer use blog.locopocos.com, it is now blog2.locopocos.com!!

Hi everyone!
Loco Pocos 2nd Birthday is coming up, and we’re adding a lot of ways you can take part in the celebrations!
Yesterday, we launched the Guess the Poco competition, we’ve already had many entries but need more!! To enter, head to this post.
Of course, what would any landmark occasion be without a fantastic hunt! I have set up some storyline related items for you to find. In return for finding all these items you will receive our 100th avatar!
Also coming to the island, Silver Keys and Silver Chests. These devilishly hard to find keys will open a silver chest only once before breaking. What’s inside the chest? That’s for you to find out!
Thousands of people have enjoyed the Loco Pocos storyline so far, finding journals left behind by Captain B. Bonnik. Starting on the 9th of July we will be concluding this first chapter of Loco Pocos Island’s history and the great tree Rokeden. Keep an eye out for a new series of journals!

Hi everyone!
Since Loco Pocos started, July 9th 2008, we have made a total of 99 awesomely fun and unique Loco Pocos avatars. Our second birthday is coming up, and on that day we will release the 100th avatar as a special prize for the upcoming 2nd Birthday Event!
But, what will this avatar be? You have to guess!
Rules of Entry:
- Must apply by responding to this post with your SL username and what you think the avatar will be.
- One entry per person
The first three people to correctly guess the new avatar will each receive a “Mega All” which contains all current Loco Pocos avatars and accessories! Good luck!

Hey everyone!
If you’ve been to Loco Pocos Island today, you’ll have noticed big changes.
First of all, I have completely redesigned the interior of the store, eliminating all the walls of text, making product images much bigger, better colour coding and overall better design!
Secondly, I implemented the Poco Mall into Loco Pocos Island. The Poco Mall runs in a circle around the mainstore location. All current renters of Poco Village have been given a bigger and better spot here!!
And that’s not all. Throughout the coming week I will be improving the island in general, making it much more streamlined for the adventure and easier to get to the clubhouse and fishing locations.
Think that’s all? There’s more!! I’m also working on putting together a super-tastic event for Loco Pocos 2nd Birthday. So stay tuned!
In other news, Poco Village (the sim connected to Loco Pocos Island) will be closing this month. The sim is for sale too. If you’re interested, please just drop me a line!

Hey all!
Loco Pocos is ready to start moving it’s storyline to part 2 of Captain B Bonnik’s story. With a new series of journals to find and more minigames. But we need your help!
I am looking for some translators to help transcribe these ancient documents to German, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese.
You help is appreciated and your names will be immortalised in the Loco Pocos island experience!
The hope is to have the new storyline and minigames ready by Loco Pocos second birthday, July 9th, 2010!
